Sunday, September 11 - Agrigento

After a restless night we arrived at Agrigento. another hot and sunny day. We had breakfast, the usual buffet on the upper deck, and then went off by bus to see the Archeological Musem. This is in a new building next to the 13th C. Church of St. Nicola and the entrance is through a cloister of the attached convent. We passed some stones which are all that remains of the Greek city. We had met our guide, who was quite good, and we spent the rest of the morning seeing the Museum. the collection is one of the best in Sicily and is mostly from the 6th to 3rd C. BCE.
